An ECS electronic cigarette starter pack, or kit, is the easiest and cheapest option to get started with an electronic cigarette. The starter pack contains all you will need, to make the conversion from ordinary tobacco products, to electronic cigarette smoking, or "vaping" as it is known.
NB: No electronic cigarette has been officially approved yet as a cessation product and the ECS is not sold as such. Liquid nicotine is dangerous and should be handled and stored safely away from children and pets. As an alternative smoking gadget, an electronic cigarette and its consumable items and spares may not be sold to people under the age of 18. In the new ECS 2010 electronic cigarette range, we offer both a Basic Starter Pack and a Personalised Custom Starter Pack. ECS 2010 Starter Packs The old 4081 model of electronic cigarettes was the most popular type of electronic cigarette in South Africa, in fact, in the world! It has been sold under a couple of different names, but always was the same basic and efficient smoking alternative. This is also known as M901, 401, NPro and others. This was an older type of electronic cigarette, comprising of a battery, an atomizer and a slide on cartridge. We, at ECS, have taken this ever popular model, made a few modifications, sorted out a couple of problem areas and have now re-launched it as the ECS 2010. Essentially, it is identical to the ECS 4082, but as it made it's appearance just in time for the 2010, world cup, it has popularly become known as the ECS 2010. The ECS 2010 model is the latest in technology and comprises of only a battery and a disposable, refillable cartomizer. The cartomizer has an inboard atomizer and holds much more e-liquid, but prevents leakage into the mouth. Pre-filled Cartomisers and Refill Liquids are available from us. The ECS electronic cigarette is a little bigger and heavier than a normal cigarette, but looks just like one. See at the bottom of this page, just what these new features are. Most opposition companies sell their Starter Packs at anything from R750 to R1250, depending on policy, brand name, import duties from the "wrong" countries, greed and too many middle-men. ECS are different. We have our cigarettes manufactured specially for us, use our own brand and sell directly to the public, as well as supplying selected agents and retailers. Some cheap imitations are sold for around R299, but these usually have only 1 battery. Many of the opposition companies do not supply refill liquids (e-liquids) and the user is forced to buy replacement cartridges, which can get expensive. This is one of our strongest selling points. We have many options in liquid flavours and strengths and inform our users of these options. Our ECS cartridges, cartomisers and e-liquids can be used on most other brands of electronic cigarettes. So too, can our spares and accessories be used on several other brands. As a rule, older models of electronic cigarettes consist of 3 parts. Newer models use a cartomizer and only consist of 2 parts. The atomizer and cartridge are built into the cartomizer. The ECS 2010 cigarette (battery plus cartomizer) dimensions are 104mm long x 9.3mm in diameter and it weighs 14.5 grams. See the Spares page. If you still have the 3 part model, using an atomizer and a cartridge, then we recommend that you update to cartomizers. If you have bought the ECS 2010 Basic Pack, then we suggest you buy a syringe and needle for refilling and some e-liquid. If you smoke heavily, or travel a lot, we recommend you get a third battery and a car charger. We at ECS offer a warranty, on the batteries and chargers, that come with the starter kits, however we cannot cover consumable items. Battery pressure switches can stick and you will be limited to only 1 working battery. It is always wise to buy a spare, especially if you intend charging in the car, or at the office. Make sure you have at least a spare pack of cartomizers and a spare bottle of le-iquid. If you run out, it takes a while to replace and you don't want to go back to those tobacco cigarettes! About the New 2010 Model Essentially this is the same as the later ECS 4081 Packs, which included cartomizers, in place of the atomizer and cartridge. The Pack has also been given a bit of a facelift, with a nifty new charger, a longer USB cable for use in either the wall charger or a computer, new updated instructions, more sensitive batteries for smoother smoking and a matt black box instead of the old shiny one.  The one distinguishing feature and maybe a little problematic, to users of older models, is that the factory has "beefed up" the battery, but had to change the thread in order to thicken the outer walls. This means that the older cartomizers and battery chargers do not fit the new batteries. Thus the new ECS 2010 becomes unique and marks the end of older the ECS 4081 models.
Obviously we will continue to carry spares and consumables for the older models, for as long as we can. So, what are the upgraded features of the new ECS 2010? What makes the new ECS 4082 (or the ECS 2010 as it is known) so amazing? 1) New Easy Draw System The ECS 2010 electronic cigarette delivers the easiest drawing on the market. It is almost effortless. Our unique cartomizer (atomizer/cartridge) allows for better air circulation, therefore each puff will deliver the same effortless motion every time. If you have ever "puffed" on some opposition products, you will notice the difference immediately. 2) New Cartomizer It's the same as getting a new atomizer with every replacement cartridge. This is VERY important and guarantees a fresh, full delivery system, every time. No need to worry about clogged up atomizers, that stop working over a short period of time and no need to keep buying expensive replacement atomizers, that only last a month. Each new cartomizer has a new disposable atomizer built right into it. 3) Sealed Cartomizers Each ECS cartomizer is individually sealed, therefore there is no leaking under normal conditions and no more getting your hands full of liquid nicotine.Even better is you get no juice in your mouth! 4) Paper Filter Wrapper We have moved away from the cold and cheap looking plastic cartridges and replaced ours with a solid metal tube, wrapped in an authentic looking cigarette paper wrapper, giving the electronic cigarette a more authentic and user friendly look. 5) Improved Cartomizer Atomizing Space Most traditional electronic cigarettes on the market, of the same size, can only contain 0.3ml of liquid nicotine in the cartridge. Our 2010 model has more than double that capacity, at 0.8ml. A newly refilled cartomiser will give the user approximately 15 to 20 cigarettes per cartomizer, compared to the average 4 to 5 cigarettes worth with other competing electronic cigarettes. Our newly designed atomizer heating element removes much of the space hogging component that other traditional atomizers would occupy, inside the cartridge. This allows more space for liquid nicotine. The ECS electronic cigarette now produces more vapour (or smoke) than any others we have tried! Caution: There are other suppliers, with similar systems on the market, claiming that each cartridge can deliver the equivalent of 2 to 3 packs of cigarettes. This is simply not true. 6) Reduced Battery Failure The number one reason for battery failure, is liquid nicotine (e-liquid) leaking into the battery and jamming the sensitive pressure switches. We have redesigned and reduced the size of the air flow hole leading into the battery, by as much as 50%, without compromising the air flow circulation. The smaller diameter makes it almost impossible for liquid to pass into the battery and cause problems. We have also re-designed the internal structure of the disposable atomizer, further reducing the possibility of liquid leaking into the battery. Note: Regular battery maintenance in the form of cleaning is essential if you want to have a reliable battery! 7) Consumables Pricing We understand that some electronic cigarettes can be more expensive then traditional cigarettes and the last thing we want to do is burden you with higher prices, so we have kept our pricing as low as possible, to keep you coming back to us. We have strategically kept our prices as much as 25% lower than similar competing products on the market. This is just another way of us showing you that we care about you. Although our new disposable cartomizers are meant to be discarded after use, they are refillable. We have had many users successfully refill them up to 8 times, before noticing a deterioration in performance. In one test, we actually kept a cartomiser going for 13 days! If you like, you can continue refilling them till they don't work anymore and then replace it with a new one. Rule of thumb: For best performance, we recommend you only refill each cartomizer 4 or 5 times. 8) Improved Vapour Production After sampling over 40 models of electronic cigarettes, we believe we have a winner with the new ECS 2010. It is much better in both vapour production and flavour. The new cartomizer system is capable of consistently delivering mouthfuls of vapour and a rich aroma of flavour.
